Hi all,
Just wondering if anyone out there has replaced a tilt/trim motor for the above model.
I am petty mechanically minded and do my own maintenance(oil, oil Filter and impellar each year and grease where necessary.
My question is if anyone has the procedure for replacing the tilt trim motor for this model. Plenty of other ones on youtube but mine has three philips head screws and also three allen head screws which other procedures(videos) have 10mm bolts.
Any assistance would be appreciated, I have purchased an after market trim tilt motor($135 delivered) as Yamaha quoted me $450 for the part + 3 hrs labour @$110 per hour.(seriuosly I don't think it would take more than half and hour)
I work part time in retail(semi retired) and get paid $24/hr so I reckon it is not a hard procedure and will save myself about $600 bucks.
