On last shrimping trip. All of the sudden boat will not shift in to forward. Reverse no problem at all. Felt like something jamming the shifter. If you worked it a bit it would finally go to forward. Disconnected cables and they moved perfectly. You could see the shift lever straining. Eventually broke the screw mounts on the shift slider.
Removed foot and tried to manually turn shift lever. Turned to reverse fine. Turning to forward and would only go part way. Working the input shaft and would eventually shift completely in forward.
I'm thinking something is broke in shifter moving the shift dog.
Any ideas?
