Took my boat out for the first time today. Ran extremely well, ran about 4 miles and everything was fine. Ran at idle 1/4 throttle, half and full throttle. On the way back after running at just above idle I put the boat on plane. I ran fine for a mile or so then the engine alarm came on. Overheated and the engine was running very rough. Shut it down till I got back to the dock. Started the motor and it ran fine. What made it overheat? Good stream of water. Thanks
