Just bought a 14'small runabout with a yamaha 90 2007 with 40 hours on the clock. Motor runs perfectly well at lower speeds (including up on the plane). But once running at around 4,000rpm, after a few minutes, it just shuts down, with no alarms or anything. Just stops as though the key has been turned off. It can then be started immediately and runs for another couple of minutes before doing the same again.
Have checked fuel system Fuel which seems to be fine, so am thinking something electrical? Any help out there would be greatly appreciated.
