I had my f 200 serviced at 185 hours. Now at 211. Coming home today the motor got loud and chattery. I had been cruising at 4500rom with no problem. The operating temp and oil pressure were fine. I checked the engine oil… perfect.
2 things out of the ordinary: 1. I am in Puget sound and an eel like fish was stuck in the engine housing just above the lower unit the last time I was out. I pulled it out but didn’t get all of it.
2. A slight sheen of oil around the engine when in the water.
