VP D4-300I, 2010

My boat has two engine es (1015 hrs) and the problem is engine synchronisation. I haven't used the boat much sine I bought it in 2015 and the problem appeared after the last major service, i.e. heat exchangers, etc. Engine rpm above 2000 and the engines go into and out of synchronisation within, say, 10 min. This is determined by moving the slave throttle a little, up or down. Once, with both engines at full throttle, pulling the throttles back the slave engine continued at full throttle. Had to reduce rpms below 2000 for slave engine to respond.
The boat has duplicate throttle stations and the behaviour was the same from both throttle pairs. Calibration of both throttle stations had no effect.
The VP rep has no idea what is going on.
