A new power boat owner, with a rebuilt 5.7Gi and new Penta2 Outdrive. About month ago, I was easily able to reach 4,200 - 4,400 RPM's under load at WOT which was about 30 MPH. Now I can only reach 3,500-3,700 under load and under 20 MPH.
WOT is rated at a max of 5000 RPM's which I am able to reach at neutral. I adjusted the throttle linkage and now I can get to about 3,900 RPM's under load at WOT about 20 MPH
Info: water temp 160, Oil Pressure fine, putting out 12+ volts. I also have a dual prop. Engine runs smooth just louder at WOT.
What am I missing?
