volvo penta 4.3 gl 2001

Engine is cutting out after warming up. Acts like the key is being shut off. If I let it sit for awhile and it'll drive fine for about 5 minutes. The tac isn't working correctly either. I'm leaning towards a ignition control module or something on the L2 of the alternator. I read a lot of forums but the ones with the same problem they never came back with the conclusion. Anyone run into the same situation?
