my tilt suddenly went to full up sitting in the yard and the tilt motor would not stop running. If I lowered it using the switch on the engine it would go down and the motor would stop running but in a few minutes it would suddenly go back up and the motor would not shut off. I have removed both relays just to save the motor. When we went fishing today everything worked at first but then it seemed that the trim was working since the bow went up when the button was pushed but the engine never got above 3400 rpm and the boat would not trim.-help

you could have a bad switch at motor or the throttle handle. I would check for a worn wire in both first If you find a wire shorting use some spray on rubber insulation made for this. Swich at the motor is easy to find. If its and older model the one at the throttle handle is hard to get. I am looking for one now.
