Rev LIMIT light comes on at 3000 RPM, the Oil light won't turn off. It is a dt100 2 stroke oil injected. So, a few years back, I hit a tow cable with prop that dislodged the impeller and caused the water light and rev limit to come on. This is my father in laws boat. So instead of fixing it, he just wanted to store it and deal with it the following spring. Well, that turned out to be 3 years before I finally got him to agree to let us work on it. So it st for 3 years. When we got the impeller fixed, we turned it on and the oil light was on and rev limit came on. We then replaced the lower unit gear oil, and then replaced the oil flow sensor \ filter. But the oil light is still on and the rev limit is still coming on. There is plenty of oil in the tank, it's definitely getting oil to the engine, I can smell the burnt oil, the smell of a 2 stroke. Am I facing a ln electrical issue or is there some other part(s) I can replace and try? The engine runs great under 3000 RPM, it ran great before it was stored, but it is old and we are not opposed to replacing parts to figure out the issue, using Suzuki parts.
