Suzuki DF300 2011

Engine quits randomly and now won't start. The trim and tilt stopped working a week ago and I troubleshot it down to a lack of signal from the ECM. The relay works and so does the trim motor if I put 12v to input on the relay. Went out without trim and tilt to test the engine anyways. Got about 2 miles from home when it just shutoff. After troubleshooting all the obvious potential issues I am stumped. The engine will randomly get power to the start circuit and crank right up but then dies 30 seconds later. Sometimes the starter can be engaged but the fuel pump isn't running so it won't start. Other times I may have to cycle the key switch 10 times before I get power to the starting circuit. This is a fly by wire keyless push button start. Not sure if the trim problem is related or not? Has a new battery and cables are good. Engine turns over just fine when it gets the start signal. Help!
