My mercuiser 3.0 had a sudden partial loss of power and started making a clacking noise.

Same thing happened to my mercruiser 3.0 engine (2010)Not sure what happened but I hear engine miss fire and when in neutral it shakes so bad and goes off Have changed the spark plugs but no change Hope it will be not expensive to fix...

blowing air under exhaust manifold.

Turns out it was a head gasket. Surprisingly easy repair on the 4 cylinder 3.0

update on clacking noise

Actually more of a compressed air noise. I put my hand below the exhaust manifold and could feel hot air blowing out in sinc with the engine and hissing noise. I am hoping it's just the gasket. I ordered one on line and it should be here tomorrow. Anyone else have this problem?
