Starter won't engage

We are trying to start our glastron 1990s boat. It hasn't been started in 2 years. The battery is fresh the gas and oil are new and the connection between the battery and the starter are there. The problem is when we send the current from the battery to the starter, the starter doesn't startto catch the fan to begin turning over the motor. Can anyone help

easy fix

Had the same problem, fixed by pulling the gear up the shaft and coated the shaft with some anti-sieze grease, been working great ever since.

New Boat starter required

You need a new starter .The bendex isn't kicking in . It's just spinning . Don

could be a couple of problems

Your connections from starter to battery ,your starter is bad or your motor is frozed up.
