Hello I just purchased a 1991 four winns horizion. From a privets seller on crags list. The Boston lasted 4 hours on the water till it started taking in 12 inches of water on the way back it lost foward and reverse and had to get towed in. Come to find out the lower unit had a severe lower crack in it that was not evident by cosmetic in spection. The transom seal is gone. I was able to find a used 4.3 outdrive took it to the shop and they are saying because the year of the outdrive needs to be resealed, my question is has anyone done this on Thierry own, can I do it on my own
