I have a 1997 40HP Yamaha Outboard engine that will start and run, but after sitting for over 30 minutes, it will not restart. We thought it was vapor lock, so we replaced the fuel line thinking Ethanol had degraded the fuel line. Things were okay for a week and then it happened again. Could the carb need to be rebuilt to clean out parts of the fuel line that may have gotten in there?
