New battery but only clicking sound from engine compartment. No sound from starter and of course, engine won’t crank

This is usually caused by poor connections to battery cable terminals at the battery, you get voltage but as soon load applied like starting the engine, the high resistance does not allow full current flow. Also you need to check the cable terminations on the starter motor solenoid. You need to check all main power connections, clean and bright and tight.
