I have a 2017 Boston Whaler 170 Montauk with a 2017 Mercury 90 hp 4-stroke motor and 145 hours. I noticed water squirting from a ~1/4” diameter black tube that comes from the engine and continues to the center console. The engine runs fine and I have not had any alarms. The tube is zip tied to the steering cable and other hoses. Upon inspection the tubing is severely weathered and has several cracks, even though the rig is kept in covered storage. I wrapped the leaks with black tape to help minimize the water. Does anyone know what this tubing is for and if there is an easy fix that I can make without taking my boat to the shop? Thanks much
