this motor floods out and has to set for a long while before attempting to start again...idle seems a bit rough when it does start

sounds like your float may be sticking
-
i would change all the fuel filters(might be two)
-
then i would run seafoam gas cleaner thru it
and that may improve and possibly fix it
-
if that doesn't work then i would check/clean/replace the needle and seat on
the float
-
