mercury 340 inboard stays running with key off

1990 cruisers twin340s start fine when you turn key off engines stay running. If you turn key off and back on they shut off replaced both ign switchs disconected alternators still doing the same thing any help you can give me I would appreciate it.

As it turns out some backyard boat mechanic replaced the 10 pin plugs on the boat harness and they were wired wrong I traced out the wires and connected them correctly problem solved.
