I have a 6 cylinder 200 mercury efi outboard. I have changed all the fuel lines, and replaced the fuel filters. When I first put the boat in and go to take off. It feels like it’s running on 3 cylinders. If I keep going, it will just be low power the whole time. It will do this for a few. During this time I may put it in neutral and rev it up. I may do this 4-5 times. Maybe go in reverse like you are cleaning the prop off. Then, it may run full power. When it’s running it may herk and jerk a little but this is rare. If it’s running good, it’s running great. Then, if I stop and fish a while, and try to go again—back to reduced power.
