Mercury 1115P73KY-2B120347 Year 2015

New satisfied owner of Mercury 115 HP on the rear of the Uttern 5502. When I bought the boat, an error message diskboard "low oil pressure" could be detected. I was informed that the error code was not correct. However, I want to make sure that I do not spoil the engine by ignoring the code. Have sailed with the boat for approx. 2 hours - experiences no engine hesitation and engine deliveries and has really good sound (cool sound ;-)).

Should I take the error code seriously and send the engine for service.

Personally I would take the error code seriously and given and double check with service, if you are wrong and you do get low oil pressure you are in danger of wrecking the engine. It is a critical parameter just like engine temperature
