We had to replace the lower unit to our Mercruiser I/O last year (because my husband didn't lower it after winterizing and it filled with water, froze and split)!! I was devastated! Anyway, that lower unit was replaced, along with a spanking new battery. He started it, it shifted good, ran good (on the trailer)sounded like music to my ears! He went to use the trim/tilt switch, and nothing! It wouldnt move! He has tried all the do this and do thats that some folks suggested but nothing. He checked the inline fuse, power, ground, fluid everything is good. Could something have happened to the trim/tilt pump during the freeze of the lower unit? Any suggestions are appreciated!
