Just purchased a river cruiser with this engine and I would like advice on this problem: It starts ok but when it warms up the IAC valve opens and the idle speed jumps up to 1200 and surges slightly.
In drive the idle drops to about 900.
I have cleaned the IAC valve and cleaned and tested the thermostat which opens at 64 deg C.
The high idle makes the gears crunch on selection and slow speed manoeuvring can be difficult.
The engine is a three cylinder EFI fourstroke.
