Engine starts and runs well from cold, but if it is left to idle for any length of time it cuts out. Then it might re-start, but more likely it acts as if it is flooded - starter turns it over but no chance of starting. I've tried re-starting with the fast idle lever to maximum (as advised in the Mariner hand book) but still does not start. However, if I go back to the boat next morning, all is well and engine starts without a problem.
