The Marine Electrical and Electronics Bible

The Marine Electrical and Electronics Bible clearly demonstrates that marine electrics and electronics on any yacht requires a holistic approach. This holistic approach ranges from power generation and electrical wiring distribution to energy storage and end user electrical and marine electronics equipment, everything is interconnected in some form. There are many older boats out on the water that have both older technology systems as well as upgraded and new-generation equipment. This Marine Electrical and Electronics Bible fourth edition encompasses much of the older existing technologies along with the newer ones.

The Marine Electrical Electronics Bible is now out, buy and save money, make your boat more reliable and be self sufficient.

The Marine Electrical and Electronics Bible had its genesis around a saloon table over a few ice-cold beers with some fellow cruising sailors lamenting the lack of clear guidance on how to approach the myriad electrical and electronics systems on a yacht. As a result, it has been written to meet the practical and real-world situations of most yachts. While there is a sail and cruising bias in the book for 30 to 65-foot yachts, the majority of the information is directly relevant and applicable to the majority of trawler yachts, power- and motorboats, and even superyachts. If you have any electrics or electronics it can help you.

637 Pages of Professional Practical Advice

Within these chapters of the Marine Electrical and Electronics Bible I have infused my own professional and lived cruising experiences along with lessons learned with decades of continual input from fellow sailors. I have deliberately attempted to correct the dangerous illusion that vessel and automotive battery systems and charging are alike except for the voltage level. So many issues arise because people think that marine electrical and electronics systems are easy Do It Yourself (DIY) systems, that is partially true if you know what you are doing. Get it wrong and you could lose your boat and worst case even your life
