Johnson j70pl4sr. 70hp, 2004

Top of Timing belt pulley is knocking on plastic flywheel cover at idle. Makes a racket. Any ideas? Runs perfectly otherwise. I can see where it is scraping the plastic on the underside of the cover.

either the pulley moved up a bit which is not good, some how and needs investigation or the cover plastic has deformed. Sometimes the cover got metal inserts where the bolts go, are they missing? That would allow the cover to get closer to the pulley as they serve here as spacers.
