Johnson 70hp 1984

My motor dies when I give it throttle. If I take it out of gear it throttles up fine. In gear, if I pump it a few times with the throttle it starts to pick up and eventually does what its supposed to do. When she warms up it improves but is still a little slow to pick up on throttle.
I have stripped the 3 carbs and cleaned the jets. I have also rebuilt the fuel pump. The timing lever was slow to advance with the throttle but I fixed that. Compression about 105 across all three cylinders. Any ideas anyone? Thanks in advance.
