Honda BF 30 D 4 stroke outboard

by Brian H
(Northern Canada)

I pulled boat out of storage and changed engine oil, leg oil new plugs and went to start it and it turned over and over without firing, usually it fires right up after storage.
I checked that i had fuel at motor and that was ok, eventually it started but died again.
If anyone has any direction on what i can do would be greatly appreciated.

no fuel?

Hi,
turn the motor, than take the spark plug out and see if it is wet with fuel. If not than the fuel distribution is at fault, so the carb, water in the tank, filters etc. If the spark plug is wet, than no sparks, ignition is shoot, the land line circuit off, the high voltage coil bad, oil sensor etc.
