After trolling at 1000 rpms, upon acceleration the engine labors up to 3500 rpms and will not climb higher. If run long enough it will start creeping up rpms very slowly. If I put the engine in neutral and throttle up it gets to 6000 rpms with no problem. The prop is new and the boat ran fine with it until this problem started. The prop has not been damaged.
