Evinrude E-TEC G2 model e200xhagg

Engine runs perfect. Odd sound from motor for 30 seconds and then loss of power to the prop. We have not run aground or hit anything. I thought the torsion bushing might have failed as we have never replaced it. Bought a new one and installed it. Made no difference. Motor starts and sounds great just prop does not turn. Any advice would be appreciated Thanks Kent

I did put a new bushing on thinking it was damaged and was the cause of the prop not engaged when I had engine on and put in forward or reverse.
Went out this morning and turned engine on, moved out of neutral into forward, prop did not move, I then used a stick and tried moving the prop, it moved freely forwards and backwards.
Did the same as above but in reverse, prop did not move when engine on and engaged in reverse, went in water and used stick and prop was locked and would not move either direction.
Any ideas? Thanks in advance

Prop not turning.

Sounds like you spun the prop hub…. With the engine NOT running shift motor into gear and turn the prop. It should not turn if it engages forward or reverse…
