my tell-tale hole has no water coming out when I start it and run it for a minute. I shut it down and will need to replace/rebuilt the water pump. The trouble I am having it when I remove the 6 bolts connecting the lower unit and shifting into forward the lower unit drops down but I cannot see how to disconnect the shift rod. There is no screw visible on the rod. Do I have to disconnect the shift rod up top by the shifter or what can I do?
