I have two issues. First, I would like to add trim/tilt but can't seem to find a part number for tge correct unit I would need. My question is, what is the correct unit for my engine, and are there additional parts that would be needed to do the installation other than the unit itself and a switch.
Secondly, the lower unit is cracked and when I got the engine a complete second lower unit was included. The spline on the driveshaft is different however. My question on this issue is that can I simply use the shaft out of the damaged unit and install it in the good one and be good to go, or is there more to it than that. Also, how difficult is it to remove the shaft and is there anything I need to watch for or be aware of when removing/installing it?
