I recently removed the lower unit on my motor to replace the impeller. And friend that has done this before helped me out and forgot to put the motor in forward gear before we removed the lower unit. Well when we reinstalled the lower unit it is stuck in forward gear. We remived it several times spinning the shifter shaft in the lower but it turns freely and wont go into any other gear.
