87 Mariner 2 cylinder/2 stroke Long Shaft

Powerhead runs great and shifts nicely into neutral and reverse but when shifted into forward motor just revs and propeller does not engage. No grinding, just doesn't engage. Is forward gear shot or does something need adjustment?

Turned out to be a spun prop. Once repaired everything appears to be fine. Thread closed.

After doing some due diligence and pulling the prop, I'm leaning towards a spun prop...particularly after observing the condition of the core. Will post findings...
