i was trolling the other day and the alarm sounded on mt motor and its pissing fine and all so i changed the fuel filter and still went off so i put the motor in neutral shut the motor off and then go full throttle and then it will shut off then i troll again and does it after an hour trolling again i think it might be the fuel pump cause after i try to go full throttle it will putter and i go back to neutral and i try to go full throttle again and it will putter only letting me go 7 mph then go in neutral and then i am able to go full throttle

I pretty sure your problem is your fuel. If you use Rthonl thats probably the answer. Small engine shops and outboard engine shops are having a field day with cutomers who use Ethonl gas. These engines were not to use Ethonl real simple. Try some good fuel and see if that helps

We have the same motor and are having exactly the same issue.We have not been able to determine what the issue is. We cannot get the alarm to activate when we take the boat out of the water and start the engine on land and let it run at idle speed.
