We repowered with a brand new long block last year and the engine has about 16 hrs on it. It was running excellent when we docked in Boca for a few days stay. After docking and shutting down my wife accidently stepped on the lanyard emergency safety shut off switch cord and knocked it off. We didn't realize that this happened until we went to run Nutra salt through then engine and it wouldn't start. We fixed the lanyard and put it back on the switch. Now the engine starts but will only run for 30-60 seconds and then die. If you try to advance the throttle it dies immediately. We were towed back to our marina and our local mechanic told us that he thought the high pressure fuel pump failed and replace it. When this didn't fix the issue he replaced the ignition system. Still didn't fix the issue. Yesterday I removed the safety switch and replaced it thinking that maybe the switch had failed. Still starts and runs for about 30 seconds and dies. I'm out of ideas and our mechanic retired and isn't being replaced. Any ideas?
