I just bought a 1990 Bass Buggy with a 40hp Johnson motor. Someone has tried to take the motor by cutting the electrical and hoses. I have made the repairs and the electrical accessories all work fine. When I turn the key to start the boat I get absolutely nothing. Does not try to turn over or make any noise at all. I can get the motor to turn over by shorting across the solenoid. Any suggestions?
