We have a 230/v8 1987 mercruiser with an alpha one leg. we changed the lower shift cable and bellows. Hooked to the controls it wont go into reverse and with the cable disconnected and operated by hand we still have nothing, The boat has been sitting for 6 years but everything looked good in the leg when we had it apart, Any suggestions
