With remote controls in Neutral, engine starts and immediately goes to wide open RPM with no remote control change. Have confirmed throttle linkage in engine is at neutral position against stop. Visual inspection does not show any broken or loose parts. Linkage moves smoothly.
This engine has never had an issue like this before. If anything it has been hard to start. Now it fires up immediately and revs up so much it requires me to turn it off. No alarms sound from the engine.
This engine was running normally the week before. This problem started the next time I tried to start it.
