I've a carbureted 2-stroke 2003 XR6 150 with an open hole right below the #2 plug on the port side. Am I correct in thinking this hole is for a head temp sender on motors that are EFI and it's left empty when not EFI? If so, can I add a head temp sender and put in a temperature gauge?
I have the overheat alarm but am hoping to get a little advanced warning. Anyone know what size bolt and thread would go in this hole?
