I have twin Yamaha 150 HPDI outboards. They are always very well maintained. Both motors ran trouble- free for the first 4 years that I owned the boat. Last year, my port side motor wouldn't start. After diagnosis on YDS, I found that my ECU went bad. I bought a used one on line. As soon as I installed it, the motor fired up & ran great. Now, 1 year later, the Same motor won't start. Y DS says Bad ECU again. Does anyone know what can cause my ECUs to keep failing?? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
