loss of power at higher rpms. this started with replacing the water pump and replacing non existing thermostats. I bought a dusky 203 recently with this engine. water pump had 2 years on it according to service records so I decided to replace it and thermostats. ran great for the 30 min ride to the beach, on the way back just over 4k rpms started losing power in surges, just a few seconds at a time. checked the fuel lines and put on a new fuel filter, still happening, noticed a small crack in the vapor chamber seeping. picked up a used vapor chamber and swapped it out, flushed out old fuel and primed it up. ran great on the way out again. nearing 5k rpms on the way in it started again. rechecked hoses, no leaks. my next step is to change the fuel/water separator and the tank sending unit to check the sock. Has anyone else experienced something like this, how do i proceed with diagnosing this?
