Starts up great, runs fine no lugging getting up to speed until i hit 4200 rpms and it bangs off of the rev limiter. I have done a full service and it runs like never before right up to 4200 rpms. I had to replace the plastic covering over the fly wheel that holds to startor in place, which I had to remove the TPS, and thats the only thing i can think of that i havent done. I replaced both thermostats and it helped with the idle which was idling high. I thought this was the issue and maybe the ECM wasnt getting hot enough but it wasnt. Theres been a check engine light on since i bought the boat its about a 20 second long beeeeeeep, but has never affected me before I was told when i bought it there was a sensor that was hard to replace. Its a very low hour motor that has been garage kept its whole life. Im completely lost!
