1998 Honda bf115 4 stroke

the engine would not rev past 3000 rpm. Number3 cylinder compression down, mechanic said a head gasket is blown. he also said this model engine suffers from internal corrosion which means once dismantled they can't be reassembled. Your opinion would be welcomed..cheers Phil.
