I just bought a 1996 Stratos 278 boat with an Evinrude 150. I had not run in a year when I bought it. I brought it home, got as much of the old gas as I could out of the tank, put fresh gas in with some Sea Foam, and it wouldn't start. Next, I ordered kits for the carburetors, put them on and it cranked and actually sounded good. Now 5 days later it won't crank and doesn't even act like it wants to crank. I put a tester between spark plug and plug wire and it seems to be getting fire. I loosened the screws on the float bowls and fuel ran out so they seem to be getting fuel. I can't figure out why it won't start. This is the first boat I have ever owned so I'm not accustomed to messing with these. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
