My motor (1990 Johnson 90 hp outboard) has recently started to not respond when I try to trim it up. It trims down fine. It seems like an electrical issue. I recently replaced the starter and solenoid and they are working well now. My question is: are the trim motor and starter/solenoid electrically connected in any way? I'm wondering if I have a bad connection on the solenoid (they are all recently cleaned and are all tight) or if this is just a coincidence??? (I really don't know what all of the smaller wires connected to the solenoid go to, I just replaced them exactly like I took them off). Thanks in advance!!!
