When you first start your fishing trip the motor starts and runs full throttle but then after 5mins the drive lever is still at full throttle but the motor revs down to trolling speed no surging or spluttering at all. It doesn't matter if you pull the lever back to neutral and then push it all the way forward again the boat motor only revs to trolling speed and no faster
