I got this boat for free and started fixing it up. The title says 1962 14ft Reinell.It currently has a 1962 Johnson 18hp motor, I'm just wondering the max hp it can handle since there's no capacity plate on the boat and I can't find any information or the same style boat online. It's fine for just me cruising but would like a little more power when I have my friends with me.

We had that boat as a kid. Started with 1958 mercury 40hp Mark 55.

1970 we put a 50hp mercury so you could waterski with 3 In the boat and 1 on skis.

Make sure there is no rot in the floor for 30hp and above.
