I have a problem with a 1987 year model 60 hp 3 cyl Mercury outboard motor . I purchased it used on a pontoon boat. someone had disabled and removed the vro and converted to gas tank mix. It will not start easily nor idle and is hard to get away from the dock with a 50:1 mix but will on a 67-70:1 mix. will it be safe to run at this mix. I understand that it is 110:1 mix at idle when using vro then comes down toward 50:1 after raising the speed. Does anyone have an answer for this
