I have a mid 80's 17' Sunbird missing an engine along with some other things for an OMC Cobra set up. I have a mercruser compleat. The Sunbird had a 2.3L in it . I could not see where the 17' had a V-8 in them. I'm not as concerned about retrofitting as I am about the weight. But all pros and cons as well as comments are welcomed. I have nothing in the boat but it is in good shape for a New England boat.
